Dear Veterans, Supporters, and Friends:
Last week we told you that we were looking into filling gaps of support needed within those communities that have supported us throughout the years. We are answering that call to action!
On Friday, WAVES Project volunteers helped 83 senior residents within the Murrieta Golf Knolls community by packing and delivering meal boxes.
This was just the first day! We are looking into the sustainability of this project as we anticipate more of a need over the next couple of weeks. If you would like to help please reach out to let us know. Donations are being accepted to help seniors experiencing financial hardship and unable to afford the food boxes. Volunteers are needed to help pack and deliver boxes.
A special shout out to our community partners. We would not have been able to support the seniors without their help! Thank you to the Elks Lodge #2591, Smokey Mountain Catering, Shamrock Foods, and the local C.E.R.T. Team.
