Join Heal the Bay for Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, Sept. 18. Register for the event here!
Coastal Cleanup Day is an international day of action to protect our oceans, watersheds, and wildlife from trash and debris. This year, there are more than 30+ cleanup sites to choose from throughout L.A. County. Whether you want to tidy up the mountains, better your neighborhood, or spruce up the beach, we've got you covered!
Find a cleanup site: Check out our Coastal Cleanup Day Site Map to pick a location that suits you. Come back soon because we'll continue to add more sites.
Safety Waivers: Please print and sign our waiver before attending. We have both English and Spanish available. Group Members and Individuals Under `18 must bring a signed wavier to the cleanup.
Talk trash: Share on Instagram and Twitter to get your friends excited about the trashiest day of the year. Use the hashtags #coastalcleanupday and #healthebay to stay connected with the international volunteer day movement!
Keep it clean: Help us make Coastal Cleanup Day a zero-waste event by bringing your own buckets, garden gloves, a reusable mask, and a water bottle. Supplies will be available at every site. Download the CleanSwell app (to count your trash, and to have your trash counted!)
COVID-19: Heal the Bay is committed to protecting the health and well-being of our amazing volunteers, their families and members of our community against COVID-19. To do so, we recommend that all volunteers wear a mask while in line to enter, exit the event. It is strongly recommended that children wear a mask on playgrounds and in other outdoor spaces where they gather if distancing is not possible or practical. If you are not fully vaccinated, it is strongly recommended that you wear a mask in crowded outdoor settings.
Self-guided neighborhood cleanups: Participate throughout the month by cleaning your neighborhoods, parks, and other local areas. Gather cleanup supplies from home, download the CleanSwell app (to count your trash, and to have your trash counted!), and clean on your own time throughout September.
Ready to register for Coastal Cleanup Day2021 ? Select REGISTER. Scroll to see site locations, choose 1 and click CHECKOUT. The final page will ask for your contact info, number of volunteers signing up, and group/organization name. That's it!
You will receive a confirmation email with all your registration details.
PARKING & TRANSPORTATION
We highly encourage carpooling, ridesharing, biking, or taking mass transit as daily beach parking permits can vary in price depending on the season and crowds at the beach. Metro offers a quick and easy tool to plan your trip.
We will have parking updates soon!
